Chris Overholser is a fiddler currently living in Brooklyn , N.Y.

 

 EDUCATION/NIGHT TREE

Chris  studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

 

In 2016 during his freshman year at NEC, Chris became a founding member of the breakout Contemporary World Folk sextet Night Tree. Night Tree's first CD was produced by Seamus Egan, founder of Solas. Night Trees'  first CD received extensive radio playon dozens of stations  nationwide and reached No. 6 on the National Folk Music Charts.  Their second CD, also produced by Egan,  was released in 2018. You can find Night Tree CDs on iTunes and Bandcamp.
